Designing the christening in Weehawken called for a graceful blend of reverence and warmth: lush peonies and hydrangeas provided a soft, romantic foundation while elegant white calla lilies introduced sculptural purity; clusters of grapes and pears were artfully arranged among the blooms to evoke a Last Supper sensibility without literal religious iconography, suggesting abundance and communal sharing. Low, abundant centerpieces allowed guests to see one another across the table, while tapered candles and strategically placed table lamps layered amber light to create an intimate, contemplative mood from ceremony through reception. Vintage brass accents and weathered wooden elements tied the modern-retro aesthetic together, giving the event a timeless, heirloom quality befitting a sacred family milestone.
