Some recent sourcing finds & where they ended up
There is nothing better for me than a successful sourcing trip! I try to squeeze them in when running errands, traveling, or whenever I see a shop that calls me.
vintage Fruit plates set of 12
I came across these gorgeous plates in a full set of 12. I loved the intricate design, the cutouts, the gold leaf, and the fruit detail. I had to have them. I realized when I got home, that I had exactly the place for them in my client' Jenna’s Middletown, NJ home. She is a registered dietician, and so well versed in nutrition, health, and wellness that I thought the fruit was so absolutely perfect for her. We also had talked about a plate wall or China display in our design concept, so it was exactly what I was looking for.

wild turkey decanter
I found this vintage decanter over the winter and had my brother in mind when I picked it up. Shortly thereafter, however, a new client project came up. This project was located in the Shark River Hills section of Neptune City, NJ and the goal was to convert a formal dining room into a bar room. We incorporated a large shelving unit into the design and the decanter happened to go so perfectly with the design concept of the room, that I brought it along to the design presentation, where my clients fell just as in love with it as I did.

Tortoise Prints
One rainy day while on a trip to Fort Lauderdale with my husband, I convinced him to go to a few vintage and consignment shops with me. These tortoise prints were an absolutely YES, but they did not fit in my suitcase - which I didn’t realize until I brought them back to my hotel :-).
While packing up to go home, I busted them out of their frames and managed to fit the prints only in my checked luggage, and decided to re-frame them upon arriving home. Thank goodness I did as they have become one of my favorite pieces in this Belmar, NJ vacation rental property’s primary bedroom. I have received so many compliments on these art pieces and am so glad I figured out a way to get them back with me.
